The Management Board of MCI Management S.A. informs that the portfolio company Bankier.pl SA in which MCI Management SA holds 38.36% stake successfully closed 2004. It”s another year of dynamic growth of the leading Polish financial portal, marked by very good financial results, fourfold increase of the number of visits to the portal and a multiple increase of the number of sold financial products.

According to the preliminary results for 2004 the company experienced an increase of revenues by 65% up to 3.3 mln PLN and a positive EBITDA result of about 280 thousand PLN. At the same time Bankier.pl SA closed the whole year with net profit.
The dynamic growth of the company is coupled with an ever-increasing reach of the portal measured by the number of unique users. According to the latest available data (Megapanel Gemius/PBI, Nov. 2004) the web sites of Bankier.pl were visited by 515 thousand users which in comparison to 132 thousand users who visited the web sites of Bankier in November 2003 is four times more. At the same time the latest non-official data demonstrate that the web sites of the financial portal are visited by almost 700 thousand users monthly who watch during that time over 6 mln pages, which makes Bankier the leader of the financial and business web sites in Poland.

The constant extension of the range of the financial products available on the portal and numerous promotions oriented exclusively towards the persons ordering at Bankier.pl resulted in a multiple increase of the number of the financial products and services sold by Bankier. Currently financial institutions get over 5000 requests monthly for one of over 100 financial products and services of 30 partner institutions present at Bankier.pl.
Furthermore, Bankier.pl SA is developing new financial products distribution channels such as System Partnerski or Internetowe Centrum Finansowe. They make the offer of Bankier.pl”s partners get to a much greater number of recipients. The very Internetowe Centrum Finansowe, in which the financial offers of Bankier are available to over 30 web site partners (e.g. Gery.pl, IDG.pl or Gazetaprawna.pl) gets to cir. 2 million Internet users.

In 2005 the portal is going to take further steps and new projects aiming at strengthening the market position of the company. For the time being the detailed strategy for this year and next years is kept secret and it shall be officially published within the next few weeks.
