The Management Board of MCI Management SA informs that the Supervisory Board of MCI Management S.A. at the meeting which took place on July 27, 2010 agreed that the Management Board shall be composed of five members and appointed Sylwester Janik, who until then had been Venture Partner and Proxy in the Company, to be a new Member of the Management Board.

Sylwester Janik does not conduct any operations which would be competitive for MCI Management S.A. based in Wrocław; he is not a partner in any civil law companies or partnerships which would be competitive for MCI Management S.A.; he is not a member of the governing bodies of any capital companies or any other legal persons which would be competitive for MCI Management S.A.; he is not listed in the Register of Insolvent Debtors based on the Act on the National Court Register.

The information regarding education, qualifications and positions held earlier as well as the description of the professional career of the new Member of the Management Board:

Sylwester Janik is a graduate of Gdańsk University (Faculty of Economics and Faculty of Management.) He also holds a MBA in Strategic Management of Technology and e-business from Cass Business School in London, UK.
He has over 15 years of experience in the scope of strategic management, new business development, mergers and acquisitions as well as Venture Capital/Private Equity investments. Before his appointment as Partner and Member of the Management Board he held the position of Venture Partner in MCI Management SA since July 2008, co-managing the TechVentures 1.0 fund. Before joining MCI he was Director of Strategy & Development at ATM SA, Polish IT stock listed company, where he also managed the company’s corporate venturing program i.e. strategic investments in companies developing innovative technologies. Earlier he worked as strategy and management consultant, project manager and director of business development for such companies as PricewaterhouseCoopers, London, UK and Lockheed Martin in Poland (Director for Development of Technology Accelerator, Lockheed Martin Offset Program.)
In MCI Sylwestr Janik is responsible for management of MCI.TechVentures 1.0 fund, supervision of operations of Helix Ventures Partners fund and Internet Ventures.
