Topic: Appointment of a member of the Management Board of MCI Management S.A.

Legal basis: art. 56 subpar. 1 pt  2 Public Offering Act – current and periodical information

The Management Board of MCI Management S.A. informs that on 16 July 2013, the  Supervisory Board  appointed Mr. Sylwester Janik for another three year term of office as member of the Management Board.

The appointed Member of the Management Board does not participate in any competitive activity, neither is he as a partner in a civil law company, partnership or a member of a governing body in any capital company or a member of competitive legal entities in relation to MCI Management S.A.; he is not listed in the Register of Insolvent Debtors held on the basis of the Act on the National Court Register.

Information regarding education, qualifications and previous positions along with description of the course of career of the appointed Member of the Supervisory Board:

Sylwester Janik is a graduate of Gdańsk University  (Economics and Management Faculty) as well as the MBA programme in Cass Business School in London, in the scope of Strategic Management of Technological Companies and e-Business.

He has over 15 years of experience in the scope of PE/VC type of investments, strategic management, development of new ventures as well as mergers and takeovers. Prior to assuming the position of a partner and member of the Management Board he was working in MCI Management S.A. on a Venture Partner position, co-managing TechVentures 1.0. fund. In 2010 he was elected member of the Management Board for the first three year term of office.

Prior to his involvement in MCI, he was working at the position of Director for strategy and development in ATM SA, an IT company listed on the stock exchange where he was managing a corporate venturing programme, i.e. a programme of strategic investments in companies developing innovative technologies. Before that, he was working, to name just a few, as consultant for strategy and development , project manager and director of development for Pricewater­houseCoopers in London as well as Lockheed Martin in Poland (director for Technology Accelerator, an offset programme of Lockheed Martin).

His role in MCI is Fund Manager in MCI.TechVentures 1.0 subfund separated  within MCI.PrivateVentures FIZ subfund, responsible for investment in technological companies during the phase of growth.
