With a view to biotech companies and start-up companies, which are just launching their business, the prestigious panel of Fund Raising for biotech enterprises in Central European Region will be organized during BioForum. Individual presentations in this block will be hosted by senior specialists in the field of fundraising strategies for biotech and life science sectors.
During this lecture Mr. Grzegorz Gromada â Investment Partner MCI Management SA
and Chairman of the Board of the MCI.BioVentures Fund, will present the possibility of seed-funding and venture capital for biotechnology and pharmaceutical companies basing on scientific researches and the latest technologies. Additionally, during that meeting, an example of successful investment in one Polish company will be presented.

MCI.BioVentures is Polandâs first biotech fund, which is investing in the projects concerning biotechnology, new medicines, therapies, materials, medical devices and health services. Currently, the Fundâs portfolio consists of three companies: Genomed (genetic diagnosis), 4med (network of medical clinics) and 24med (private ambulance service). Fund investment model assumes investments at the early stage of the project, and then active management support combined with acquisition of further funding for the development and expansion. The preferred size of the
investment is 0.2 â 1 mln EUR. Fund belongs to MCI Group.
