On July 4, 2007 MCI Management SA paid in cash to the biotechnology fund MCI.BioVentures Sp. z o.o. the amount of PLN 450,000 to increase the share capital of the company. MCI Management SA took up 900 new shares with their nominal value of PLN 500 per each share. The other shareholders proportionately to their previously held paid in PLN 50,000 taking up in total 100 new shares in the increased capital.
In the increased capital MCI Management SA shall hold 990 shares of the total 1100 shares which shall represent 90% of the shares of MCI.BioVentures. As a result of the increase the total share capital of MCI.BioVentures shall be PLN 550,000. Detailed information about that investment is included in the current reports of MCI Management SA no. 8/2007 and 45/2007.
The capital increase is the next stage of the implementation of the MCI.BioVentures plan of growth which is the basis of receiving the advance from the Polish Agency for Enterprise Development (PAED) in the amount of PLN 550,000. According to the agreement for provision of additional finances concluded between MCI.BioVentures and PAED the funds shall be used on operations and investments of the biotechnology fund.
The purchased assets represent over 20% of the share capital of MCI.BioVentures Sp. z o.o. and are considered assets of significant value.
