Legal basis: § 56 subpar. 1 pt. 1 of the Act on Public Offering

On June 27, 2007 biotechnology investment fund MCI.BioVentures, which is owned by MCI Management SA, signed an agreement for provision of additional finances in the amount of PLN 10 million with the Polish Agency for Enterprise Development (PAED). This means that MCI.BioVentures shall have access to PAED funds and at the same time MCI Management SA shall be obligated to additionally finance MCI.BioVentures also with the amount of PLN 10 million. In total PLN 20 million shall be transferred to the fund by PAED and MCI in tranches adequate to the investment needs.

MCI.BioVentures is a seed capital fund investing up to EUR 1 million in companies operating in Poland. The means of the fund shall be used on investments in the companies at their early stages of development (seed and start-up).

The expected size of MCI.BioVentures shall be PLN 20 million with the engagement of MCI Management S.A. at PLN 10 million. The other 50% of the capital shall come from the financing which MCI.BioVentures acquired by concluding the agreement for provision of additional finances with PAED.

Through the operations of MCI.BioVentures the portfolio of MCI Management SA shall grow to include a minimum of 5 new companies by the end of 2008.
