2020 - EXITED PORTFOLIO AND 1 IPO
Last year, although incredibly challenging for most sectors of the economy, has highlighted the readiness of the digital economy to adapt to practically all possible scenarios. We also saw that consumers are ready to switch instantly from their well-trodden
habits to online channels, uncompromisingly satisfying their every need. This sentiment is here to stay, forever changing the way we shop, bank or even deal with state entities.
The last 12 months were also record-breaking in terms of Digital IPOs from CEE/Poland, like Allegro – Europe’s largest ever IPO in Tech Space and InPost, Europe’s most profitable PE deal ever. These prove how attractive Central & Eastern Europe may be to PE investors.
For many years, MCI has been focusing on putting its experience behind companies ready to digitalize and now, undeniably, their time has come. For us 2020 was a year of record breaking exits with total of 11 exits across our VC, Growth and Buyout portfolio. We are entering 2021 with a record level of dry powder and will actively search for the next European Digital Challengers candidates.
