By decision of the shareholders, MCI Management S.A. has changed its corporate name to\u00a0MCI Capital S.A. The new name is to better reflect the nature of the company\u2019s business.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Over the last decade or so, MCI has transformed from a group engaged in both investment and asset management into an investment vehicle implementing its investment strategy through investment funds. As part of the reorganisation of its capital group\u2019s structure, MCI\u00a0established a separate asset management company Private Equity Managers S.A. and listed it on the main trading floor of the Warsaw Stock Exchange in April 2015. Since then, MCI has been focusing on implementing investment activities and raising capital for\u00a0acquisitions.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe new name better reflects the nature of our business as a fund of funds, i.e. an entity which invests in assets through different investment funds\u201d<\/em>, said Tomasz Czechowicz, President of the Management Board of MCI Capital S.A. <\/strong>\u201cAt the same time, it will highlight the great importance of raising capital for next investments in MCI\u2019s business model. In\u00a0our\u00a0opinion, the change should have a positive impact on how the company is perceived and identified in the context of the business pursued and, in addition, it will help potential foreign investors better understand what MCI Group\u2019s main area of activity is\u201d<\/em>, added\u00a0the\u00a0President.<\/p>\n

The decision to change the name was taken during the Extraordinary General Meeting of\u00a0Shareholders held on 17 November 2015. The new name was officially registered by\u00a0the\u00a0District Court in Warsaw on 2 December.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
